The unreliable narrator - A small piece of a bigger human narrative
Art is multifaceted. It can be an experiment, a form of journalism, or a dialogue between an artist's inner world and their external reality. It serves as a statement, offering a window into both the artist and their environment. Art is also a journey through symbolism, leading to deeper understanding. It represents a physical transformation of contrasting ideas and allows a conversation between the viewer and a broader human narrative.
The phrase "built on the shoulders of giants" describes the evolution of everything from physical adaptations to scientific discoveries. This concept also applies to all forms of creation. We are shaped by all the events, memories, people, and visual information we encounter throughout our lives. The earliest form of communication was through images, a universal language used to depict the world around us. Today, however, our understanding of the world is more complex and fragmented, often too overwhelming to grasp without guidance.
We all need art in its many forms.
